Time for an update!

I had a free moment here on our almost last day of school and I decided to catch up on people's blogs...how embarrassing that I have not updated mine in 8 months!!! So, here's an update on what's new in my world.

On October 25, 2008 I married the love of my life PJ Hackett at the beautiful Magnolia House in Lexington, SC. It was a very rainy and cool weekend, but the sun came out for the big day, and we could not have asked for anything better. There were white hydrangeas everywhere, friends and family from miles away, and we danced the night away under white paper lanterns.

We took a wonderful and much needed honeymoon to St. Augustine, FL and stayed at a very romantic B and B. It was definitely a romantic and relaxing week. Now, whenever we get stressed, PJ and I will just say, "Remember St. Augustine...."

We moved into our first home together on May 15, 2009 and since then have been painting, decorating, planting, etc. PJ works for Sherwin Williams, so ofcourse we were going to paint our entire house!! The house is brand new with almost 2300 square feet and (believe it or not) more than enough room for us. We have 3 1/2 bathrooms, three bedrooms and a full bonus, and (my favorite) the downstairs is an open floor plan with hard wood floors! It's so hard to leave and go to work because all I want to do is be home! :)

In family news, my sister Beth and her husband Joe welcomed their daughter Madeline Rose into the world on April 28. (See top picture!) She is a clone of Joe and is so adorable! It's been terrific seeing my siblings have children of their own...and has made me more and more aware of my ticking biological clock.

My brother Tim and his wife Melanie also had a baby right before our wedding. Abigail is now eight months old and so precious (see Easter bunny)!!

Well, I need to wrap this up. I'm finishing the school year off with a bang and making a resolutiong to blog much more this summer!
